STATUS OF DATALOGGER STATIONS AFTER REPAIRS

The following is the list and the descriptions of the equipment conditions at each of the old study sites after some repairs

West Marsh

Datalogger Station

CR10 Datalogger:   Yet to be completed. Program has been reloaded

            12V DC Battery:   OK

            Photovoltaic cell panel:   OK

            Pyranometer:   Yet to be completed.

Electric rain gauge (tipping bucket):   If there is rainfall it is triggered every minute. To calibrate the instrument, the following data have been collected:

The diameter of the bucket is 155 mm (6.10’’). It needs to be cleaned up regularly.

Anemometer:   Yet to be completed. For the moment one of its electric wires is not connected

Air temperature and Relative humidity Sensor:   Yet to be completed.

Ultrasonic proximity sensor:   Yet to be completed.

V-notch weir.   Yet to be completed.

ISCO automatic water sampler:   Yet to be completed. Collecting tubes are lincked

Manual rain gauge:   OK. The diameter is 103 mm (4.06’’)

Note:   Lot of water plants in the channel, upstream and downstream, to be cleaned up with appropriate tools

Grove

Datalogger Station

CR10 Datalogger:   Program has been reloaded. Now it works

12V DC Battery:   New one has been fixed. Without the

photovoltaic cell panel it will run down fast. Photovoltaic cell panel has to be installed

Photovoltaic cell panel:   Still not present

Two stilling well:   Yet to be completed

Electric rain gauge (tipping bucket):   If there is rainfall it is triggered every minute. To calibrate the instrument, the following data have been collected:

The diameter of the bucket is 155 mm (6.10’’). Rain in-taking area is not perfectly horizontal as it should be. It needs to be cleaned up regularly.

ISCO automatic water sampler: :   Still not present

Manual rain gauge:   OK. The diameter is 103 mm (4.06’’)

Note:   Lot of water plants in the channel, upstream and downstream, to be cleaned up with appropriate tools

800 Acres

Datalogger Station

CR10 Datalogger   Broken fuse by-passed. But needs to by replaced. Program has been reloaded.

12V DC Battery:   OK

Photovoltaic cell panel:   Bad

Two stilling well:   Yet to be completed

V-notch weir:   It has not ultrasonic proximity sensors on its top

ISCO automatic water sampler:   Yet to be completed. Collecting tubes are not linked

Manual rain gauge:   Broken

Note:   Some water plants in the channel, upstream and downstream, to be cleaned up with appropriate tools

Griffith Park

Datalogger Station

CR10 Datalogger:   OK. Can be connected with portable. Program has been reloaded.
